Cafesjian Center in Yerevan presented a public lecture of „The Book of Whispers” in … eleven mother tongues!
The international literatur festival berlin (ilb) called together with the Lepsiushaus Potsdam for a worldwide reading of the novel „The Book of Whispers” by Armenian-Romanian author Varujan Vosganian on April 21 to commemorate the fate of the Armenians in 1915.
The DAAD Information Centre Yerevan followed the call and organised in cooperation with the Cafesjian Center for the Arts a very special reading: Eleven people of different nationalities read an extract of this historical novel in their respective mother tongue. The readers were accompanied by Serob Sargsyan and Sevak Yeghiazaryan on the duduk. More than 120 people come into the cascades to listen to the readers.
